The hotel offered spacious and spotless rooms, although they had a strong smell of what seemed like a coverup deodorizer. My stay at the Hartington Hotel was a mix of excellent comfort in the rooms and some questionable odors that seem to be masked by deodorizers. The service was extremely attentive, accommodating, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The location to Chicago and the Public transport was convenient, and I appreciated the assistance from the front desk. The dining experience was fantastic, with meals that reminded me of grandma's cooking. However, the hotel could really improve on the room scent issue.
