The hotel offered spacious and spotless rooms, although they had a strong smell of what seemed like a coverup deodorizer. The service was friendly, helpful, and well-trained, especially in managing noise disruptions. The location, although aiding with resolving overcharges in the Midwest, did leave room for improvement with better TV equipment in the rooms. The dining experience, although praised for its homely flavors, was not perfect. Overall, I had a pleasant stay with a few points that could be enhanced.

My stay at the Hartington Hotel was a mix of excellent comfort in the rooms and some questionable odors that seem to be masked by deodorizers. The service was extremely attentive, accommodating, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The location to Chicago and the Public transport was convenient, and I appreciated the assistance from the front desk. The dining experience was fantastic, with meals that reminded me of grandma's cooking. However, the hotel could really improve on the room scent issue.
